BMW CE04 Electric Scooter Price and Technical Data Revealed
BMW Motorrad revealed the price and specifications of the upcoming electric urban scooter BMW CE04. This is the maxi-type electric scooter specially designed for daily city traveling. Performance and Motor
CE04 is as quick as a gasoline maxi scooter. It will achieve 0-50 km/h within 2.6 seconds only. This electric scooter will come with a good range of around 130 kilometers as per the WMTC testing procedures. BMW CE04 is powered by a 20 hp permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor which generates the maximum power of 42 hp at 4900 rpm and 62 Nm (45.7 lb-ft) maximum torque at 4900 rpm. This combination leads to a 120 km/h (electronically limited) top speed to the BMW CE04.
Electricals and Power Transmission
An 8 kWh vehicle underbody and central air cooling technology permanently fixed maintenance-free battery of 148 voltage having 40 lithium-ion cells are used in this futuristic next-generation powerful electric scooter. The 2.3 kW integrated charger takes 4 hr 20 min to charge from 0-100% while a 6.9 kW optional quick charger takes 1hr 05 min only to charge its battery from 0-100%. The power transmission is 1-speed transmission, integrated into the motor housing type and the secondary drive is associated with a toothed belt to the fixed transmission.
Chassis and Brakes
BMW has been used a modern steel double loop frame in the CE04 electric scooter. The front suspension is made from single-bridge telescopic forks with 100 mm spring travel and the rear suspension is a single-sided swingarm/central spring strut with 92 mm suspension travel. Both the tyres are radial with a 15-inch rim size while the front tyre is 120 mm wide and the rear tyre is 160 mm wide.
A 265 mm double disc brake with 4 piston fixed caliper is used on the front side and a 265 mm single disc brake with a single-piston floating caliper is used in this electric mobility machine. BMW Motorrad ABS is used in the CE04. The 1675 mm large wheelbase is introduced for the maximum comfort of the rider.

Dimensions and Weights
The total length of the BMW CE04 will be 2285 mm having 780 mm seat height and it could be increased by 20 mm with an optional comfort seat. The total height and width are 1150 mm and 855 mm respectively. The total unladen weight of CE04 is 231 kg and the maximum permissible payload is 179 kg with this electric vehicle.
Price and Availability
The base model price of BMW CE04 starts from USD 11,795 and the price of the top model starts from USD 14,300. This electric maxi-scooter will be available in the European market from 2022.
