BMW G310R BS6: Engine and Performance
The BMW G310R comes with a 310cc water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine having four valves and two overhead camshafts. The gasoline and air mixture is controlled by the modern electronic fuel injection system in this bike. The powerful 310cc engine churns out the maximum power output of 25 kW (34 ps) at 9,250 rpm and the maximum torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Power and torque are good for the city as well as highway cruising. BMW team has given a secondary air-system in this bike for improved combustion.
This run machine can achieve a maximum speed of 143 kilometers per hour easily as per the BMW official. BMW has given the three-way closed-loop catalytic converter to meet the requirement of the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) emission norms of the Indian Government. The 313cc engine of the BMW G310R consumes 3.3 Liters of fuel per 100 kilometers distance (30.3 kilometers/Liter). The engine area has been painted with titanium grey metallic color.
The engine's cylinder head of the BMW G310R has been rotated 180 degrees backward to shift the center of gravity of the bike on the front wheel side. It gives stability and better control to the rider while riding the bike. There is no change in the exhaust of the BMW G310R. BMW team has been done a brilliant job on the engine of this sportbike to make the vibration zero and increase the performance. BMW G310R BS6: Electrical and Power Transmission
The lighthouse of the BMW G310R is all LED. The headlamp looks much sporty now, daylight in the middle of the headlamp looks so pretty and gives a bold appearance to this motorcycle. The LED tail lamp and turn indicators are made to inspire and attract the youth.
The new electronic throttle grip system ride-by-wire technology provides a smoother throttle response to the BMW G310R. Ride-by-wire technology replaces the contact of the mechanical linkage of the throttle wire. The throttle is controlled by the sensor and the actuator. This technology helps the engine to reduce emission because of the fine-tuned air-fuel mixture supply and an improved fuel-burning as well as a better engine response. The instrument cluster of the new BMW G310R 2020 is the same as BMW G310R 2018.

The BMW G310R is equipped with a slipper clutch for smoother gear shifting and safety during a sudden collision. The gear train system is a 6-speed constant mesh gear system in this machine. The endless X-ring chain is used in this bike to minimize the power loss and smooth power transmission between the engine to the rear wheel. A 308 W three-phase alternator and 12V / 8 Ah maintenance-free battery have been given in this sportbike. BMW G310R comes with an adjustable clutch and brake lever by which a rider can reduce the distance between these levers to the handlebar up to 6 mm by adjusting the 4-levels of the round button given on the joint of the levers to the handlebar. It will increase the joy of riding and safety by providing ease in the clutch and the front brake operation.
BMW G310R BS6: Chassis and Brake
The BMW G310R is built on the tubular space frame-type chassis. A 17-inch cast-aluminum lightweight rim has been added to this mechanical run machine. The wheel design is inspired by a turbine profile on this sportbike. The width of the front tyre is 110 mm and the width of the rear tyre is 150 mm. Both the tyres are radial and the wheelbase is 1380 mm.

The company has added its own BMW Motorrad ABS on this bike for effective braking. The front disc diameter is 300 mm and it has decorated with a radially bolted 4-piston fixed caliper for a great braking experience. The disc brake has been ornamented with a 240 mm single-piston floating caliper.
The golden color upside-down fork (USD) suspension of 41 mm diameter on the front side gives proper control and massive comfort to the rider. The rear suspension of the BMW G310R comes with a mono-shock adjustable suspension for better stability. The BMW logo on the handlebar looks very cool in this motorcycle.
BMW G310R BS6: Dimension and Weights
The seat height of the BMW G310R is 785 mm. There is an option to increase the seat height to 800 mm and to decrease the seat height to 770 mm i.e. riders can comfortably choose the seat height as per their own height. BMW team has managed the overall length and height (without considering the mirrors) of the G310R very well under 2,005 mm and 1,080 mm respectively.
The fuel tank of the BMW G310R is 11 liters with 1-liter fuel in the reserve. The unladen weight of the BMW G310R is 164 kilograms with a fully fuelled tank. A rider can cruise with a maximum payload of 181 kilograms i.e. the 313cc engine of the BMW G310R can handle 345 kilograms of the total weights during the ride.
The high and low seat, luggage rack, top case (30L), and its light, heated grips, 12V power outlet, and a USB charging port are available as an accessory for the BMW G310R.

BMW G310R BS6: Color and Price
BMW G310R comes in three premium colors. The Limestone Metallic (Style Sport) is INR 10,000 costly than the standard version. The red and white color combination with red-wheel color looks very sporty. The chassis is also painted in a red color in limestone metallic color. The second color is Cosmic Black having black and white color combination and the 3rd color of the BMW G 310R is Polar White with blue color side strip on the headlamp and below the fuel tank.
The ex-showroom Jaipur price of the BMW G310R starts from INR 2.45 Lakhs which is INR 0.55 Lakh cheaper than its old BS4 BMW G310R 2018 version.
