Engine & Transmission
Hero Xtreme 160R is decorated with air-cooled single-cylinder 160cc engine with 2 valves having maximum power 11.2 kW (15 bhp) @8500 rpm and maximum torque 14 Nm @6500 rpm. This bike is fitted with both self start and kick start.
It will come with 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
New Xtreme 160R achieves 0 to 60 Km/Hr in 4.7 seconds which makes this motorcycle within one of the fastest in this segment.
Chassis & Suspension
Hero Motocorp has been introduced this bike with a new tubular diamond frame.

Hero Xtreme 160R will be furnished with 37mm telescopic suspension in front and mono-shock suspension in the rear which can be customized by as per the need of the rider.
Suspensions are designed for very comfortable riding and look muscular from front and rear both sides.
Brakes & Tyres
Hero Xtreme 160R will come with a petal disc brake of 276mm having single-channel ABS in front-wheel while 220mm petal disc or 130mm drum brake option in the rear wheel.

The front tyre is tubeless (100/80-17) and the rear is tubeless radial tyre (130/70-R17). In front-wheel radial tyre is missing for cost-saving but ABS can counter the need. A rear radial tyre will definitely help the bike for effective braking.
Electricals & Dimension
This bike has been fitted out with full LED headlamps with LED DRLs also. Indicators are LED with three single LED lights in each. Inverted LCD console speedometer provided in this bike having welcome message during ignition on, digital watch, live speed, total distance travel indicator, fuel indicator, rpm indicator, parking indicator, ABS alert, indicator alert, high beam alert, N-indicator and engine hazard indicator.
This bike misses gear indicator on the speedometer.
The wheelbase of this bike and ground clearance are 1327mm and 167mm respectively. The seat height of this motorcycle is 790mm.
Kerb weight of this machine is 138.5 kg (for single disc) and 139.5 (for double-disc) which makes the weight of this bike lowest in these segments. Hoping for the good mileage because of Fuel Injection and its low kerb weight. Hero claims that all parts are quality parts with lightweight, especially they used low weight quality alloy wheels in this running mechanical gadget. Fuel tank (12 L) is good enough for long-distance travel.
